External Hardrive Problem

I recently had to restore my whole computer. After completing this process my
"Maxtor One Touch Mini External Hardrive" will not appear in My computer or
Windows eEplorer. Oddly It will show up in Computer Management, and the
"Maxtor Manager". I am running Windows Xp. If anyone has a solution to this
problem please let me know.

When you are looking in Computer Management, does the external drive
have a drive letter and show as having a file system (e.g., NTFS or FAT)?
 
but does it give a drive letter? If not right click on the drive's area and
click Change drive letter and set a new letter.
