Hi,
I bought windows Xp.
Generally I use external hdd which contains OS.
Forexample, I had windows ME. I can carry my OS and datas
in external hdd. So I can boot from this external hdd on
my friends computers.
Now I want to do this with Windows XP. Is there any
problem about that?
Because XP checks hardware for Activation.

I find it hard to believe that you can boot an external drive and that it
will boot on a computer with different hardware.

I second that! But there may be "some" bios out there that will allow this
occurrence.

But, it will never work with Windows XP - on another computer!
