EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE LETTERS

Using Control Panel, Disk Management I assigned Drive Letters to external
hard drives.
A number of times the drive letter changes. Is there a method to prevent
changes to the designated letter ?

Don't disconnect the external drive; it'll retain the assigned drive
letter. Once you disconnect and reconnect the external device, the
drive letters get reassigned.
