External DVD burner recommendation

hello,

i'm looking to buy an external dvd dual layer dvd burner, but don't know
much about them.

i came across this one, but couldn't find any reviews on it. is it a new
model? it's the hp 630e

i want to be able to create dvd's using nero, which i already own or
mydvdstudio, which i plan to buy.

it seems to use a usb port. is that ok for burning dvd's?

i don't need it to capture movies directly to the drive.

the reason i selected this one is because i have $60 in reward points at a
store and this is the only external dvd writer that they sell.
