External 300GB Harddrive

Recently cabled in an external harddrive. Purpose is to backup my complete
file system on my main harddrive. Question is what is the best way to go
about this? Isn't there a better way than drag and drop in Windows Explorer?
I have formatted the new external drive from FAT 32 to NTFS.

Copying from Win Explorer is NOT the way to go.. you might want to consider
either of these

You might also want to remove your phone # from your signature too..
