Extended RAID Array now how do I alter the PArittions

B

Brad Reichert

I added another disk to my RAID5 array Now I see 2 disks in Computer
Management. How do I added the new disk to the original partitions? Do I
have to buy Partition Magic or Volume Manager? Isn't there a cheaper way?
NetWare has utilities built in.

Thanks,

Brad

Usually when you add another drive to a RAID5 array there is a utility with
the RAID5 array that will add the free space to the array showing as a
single drive with free space. Then you can use the Microsoft resource kit
utility diskpart to expand the volume to use the free space.
