Hi,

Is is possible to have Extended Desktop in windows 2000 professional as in
windows XP?

In XP you can have multiple monitors attached to one graphic card and have
different content in different monitor. It's called "extended desktop".

I know that in windows 2000 you can have two monitors attached. But it only
works in clone mode which means that all monitors have the same content.

Is it possible to do the same thing in windows 2000 in any way?

Thanks in advance
Tami

By using specific graphic cards and their software to enable 'dual display'
eg Radeon, nvidea, matrox, specific models have this function

Hi DL,

Thanks for your infor. I have Mobility Radeon 9600 integrated in HP NC6000.
I have installed the ATI driver from HP. But I can only get "clone mode" not
"extended desktop".

Any suggestions? I heard from somewhere that Windows 2000 doesn't support
"extended desktop" mode with one card. Is it true?

I don't believe Mobility integrated supports this option.
Radeon *cards* that support this come with Hydrovision software
As I believe yr referring to a laptop pc, I believe you cannot get this
option
in Win2k
