Exporting reports to excel from Access 2007

Hi,

I used to be able to export my reports in Access 2003 to Excel by selecting
File => Export and choosing Excel. I have been trying to figure out how to
do this in Access 2007. However, the excel icon for external data is grayed
out. Is there a way to turn this functionality on.

Thanks,

No, there isn't. That functionality was removed in Access 2007. Of all the
changes in Access 2007 this in my opinion is the most disruptive (and the
hardest to understand the reasons for).

You'll have to export from a query instead. If the report is based on a
fairly simple query this could be easy, but if the query is complex or built
at run-time it's much more difficult. Good luck.
