Exporting from Access to Excel

Hi

I have just upgraded to Acess 2007 for work. Previously, i generated a
report in access and then exported the report via file export.

With 2007, i no longer have that option as the export to excel button is
greyed out, does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is so?

t3ngu,
it is a deliberate design feature.
Microsoft was forced to disable this feature after losing a legal dispute -
many people have been upset over this.
The work around is to export the query that the report is based on.
You may also try to report the report as html and open it in excel.

Hi

Do you have any idea why spell check doesn't work in Excel when I have
exported my data (mostly text) from Access?

Mary,
I haven't come across this problem - I have never tried to use spell check
in excel.
I suggest that you ask in the excel discussion group for problems with
getting spell check to work in excel.
