How can I export a PDF from a WEb site to an Excel

If you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat reader (And students get it
cheaper if you don't have it - Thanks Dave), and watching for the word wrap.

If one just has the free Adobe Acrobat Reader you can cut and paste
one column at a time.

This probably depends on the version of software but you
shoul be able to use the "Select Text" icon from the pdf
toolbar.

Yous hould be able to copy and paste this as normal then.

Actually, I probably need to update this, as I now have Adobe Reader 6, and with
the Text select icon I can indeed select more than just a single column.

Acrobat Reader: Column Select Tool / Cut/Paste

Googling for "extract text from PDF" throws up a good number of links. A
commercial product, PDF2TXT (<http://www.verypdf.com/>) seems rather
prominent. It may also be possible using Ghostscript's pdf2ps cum
ps2ascii.
