EXPORTING OUTLOOK'S ADDRESS BOOK

How do i export my address book in Microsoft Outlook to an external
drive?
I use Windows XP.

I believe the option is under File>Export. Follow the wizard and export
to a .pst file. Browse to where you want to save the file. The Export
Wizard allows you to choose which data to be exported; you want Contacts
if you only want to export the addressbook. If you want the whole thing,
then you'll see where you can select Personal Folders and make sure the
"include subfolders" box is checked.

Ray,
If you only want the address book, that will work. However, if you are going
to wipe the drive or replace it, copy the .pst file to the external drive.
It contains everything regarding MS Outlook, not just the Address Book
(Contacts). When moving it back to your drive, place it in a new folder
under My Documents (for easy backup). Then open Outlook and Choose File>
Open> Outlook Data file. Browse to the pst in the new folder.
