Hi

I have managed to export my folders, including the Sent folder, from Outlook
Express to Outlook but my Inbox folder has not transferred across, even when
I soley select that folder.

A few months ago I lost some of our folders when Windows installed some
automatic updates & I have never been able to retrieve them.

Could both these issues be connected & do you know how to retrieve them?

Many thanks

Andy

Thats strange that you lost some folders after update i'm not sure if u know
that Outlook Express as size limit for all the folders in the outlook
express.
Take a look at this link this might help u understand the size limit
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/903095/en-us
Now there are lot of reasons why the folders went missing lets try this
steps to get the folder back
this link should help you to get the folder back
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295965/en-us
this link should help you to retreive mails back
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296953/en-us

Hope this works :) Let me know if you do not follow any step
Vijay

Thanks Vijay - I have tried what you suggested & although i can see my lost
folders in the store folder location I am unable to rename folders.dxb to
folders.old (I remember experiencing virus problems when I lost the folders).

Additionally, I also need to know how to transfer all my emails from Outlook
Express to Outlook because when I initially exported from Outlook Express my
Inbox did not come across.

If you can helpo at all that would be great. Thanks.

Andy

Hi Andy,
First of all i wanted to know if you did find "folders.dbx" and you cant
rename this file untill Outlook Express is closed so you gotta close Outlook
Express and then try to rename the file and to import messages to Outlook
from Outlook Expres.
Open Outlook Click File->Import/Export->selext "Import Internet Mail and
Addresses"Select Outlook Express.Click Next and click on Finish.
Vijay.

Hi Vijay

Yes I managed to find folders.dbx & rename it whilst Outlook Express was
closed but it did not re-instal my missing folders.

I have tried both importing in Outlook & exporting from Outlook Express &
neither one brings my Inbox across.

Any further ideas (it is driving me mad!).

Cheers

Whats the File size Of inbox.dbx

Try to import only inbox mails, start creating another identity and
check if that's gonna work.
