Exporting from Access to Excel

Hi André,

Try using File|Export instead of Tools|Office Links|Analyze... The latter
seems to use old code that imposes the 16384-row limit even when you select
an Excel format that allows more.

File | Export also uses that old EXCEL format with the row limitation. Best
to use TransferSpreadsheet via macro or VBA code.

Can you check this, Ken? I've just used File|Export on a query of 54,761
rows. All of them showed up in the worksheet. ISTR that selecting "Save
Formatted" while exporting to Excel involved the 16k row limit, but this
too exported all the rows just now. (Access 2003, exporting to Excel
97-2003 format)

Can only speak to A2K2; I know that "formatted" export uses that old EXCEL
format.

Maybe MS fixed this in A2K3!!?? That would be great if they did!

I had a similar problem trying to send the contents of a table using the send
object command. The way I got around the problem was to send the object in
Html format and then import the data in Html format. You can also open the
Html output in Excel.
