I am seeing the following problem. When I insert an excel bar chart into
powerpoint as a windows picture, the picture in powerpoint displays an extra
bar to the left of the chart. This only happens with charts that have been
scaled in excel by changing the scale of the x axis. This same problem
happens when scaling the y axis also, the "cut off " portion of the bar would
show above the graph. This seems to happen only in powerpoint 2003. Can
anyone help?

How are you scaling the axes?

Could this just be a video driver issue? Try updating video drivers and also
changing hardware acceleration.

How to set graphics hardware acceleration back

video drivers are up to date. scaling axis by clicking on x axis in
excel and changing the scale at the scale tab. it works fine displaying
in excel and on print preview, but when i paste it into powerpoint
error occurs.
