Exporting calendar in outlook

I have just downloaded the "Rainlender calendar" and would like to import my
Outlook calendar into it. However it only uses .ics files and I cannot find a
way to export from Outlook 2007 in this format. Can anyone help?

The only way I have found to do this is to synch your Outlook calendar with
Google Calendar, and then you can export the Google Calendar as an ics
file...

I have no idea how to sync my outlook calendar with google mail. I cannot see
any info on this either on google. Will you satisfy my curiosity please as I
would like to do this as well.
