Exporting autocomplete

Help in Outlook 2007 says that to transfer autocomplete items from one
computer to another simply copy the username.nk2 file in \Documents and
Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook to the same
loation in the new computer.

I can't find this file with nk2 extension on the old or the new computer!! -
I have made sure system files are not hidden and carried out a search for
*.nk2 file but nothing.

I was getting autocomplete items in a dropdown list on the old machine but
lately the list was not being updated with new addresses which I had used.
They appear in the list during the current session of Outlook but when
restarting they disappear.

Any suggestions?

Not sure if this will help but under Vista the location would be:
c:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

Yes on my Vista installation the file is in the location you mention but
can't find it anywhere on my XP installation. This is a dual boot machine,
sharing the .pst file between the two Outlook installations. May be this
has something to do with it?

It might. I'd search all of your drives including hidden directories for NK2
files
