Exporting a report to another program - Newbie question

I noticed that there is a post from someone who is exporting a report to
Pagemaker. Would someone be kind enough to provide more explicit information
on how to do this? Or at least point me in the right direction for getting
some instructional material on this?

I need to produce a direcotry that will be printed as a book. If I could
even use the "Publish to Word" capability and have the fields come through
with styles attached, it would be great. But PageMaker would be better.

Ellen:

a.) there's nothing that will keep the style really other than exporting to
XML with an XLS style sheet and then formatting is only approximate.
b.) you could output to a PDF file to retain format and bring that into page
maker
c.) you could look at Blue Squirrel software's "Click Books" program that
makes printing to a booklet form fairly easy.
