Exported Contacts (Excel) doesn't show custom fields

I have a contacts folder with about 2000 contacts in and it's been put into
the public folders for everyone to use. We use Outlook 200 and 2003 and the
Exchange server is 2003. I created a custom form years ago which has worked
well, however now I want to export the data intot a SQL database and use a
web interface. However what shocked me was the custom fields I created do
show in Excel, what can I do?

Outlook does not support exporting or importing custom fields. See this for

It's a shame after all these different Outlooks this feature is still missing.
