Exported 2003 PST to import into Outlook 2000

I exported Outlook 2003 .pst file. When I tried to import
the .pst file into Office 2000, error message said that
the version was incompatible with Outlook 2000. Can this
be true? Is there are workaround so that I can import
into Outlook 2000 what I have exported from Outlook 2003?

Give this article a try... apparently the format in 2003
is unicode while earlier versions are ansi. This may
work for you....

I now know that I have this problem, BUT I do not have the 'Data File Management' option when I click the File menu in Outlook 2003. Is there any other way I can change my .pst files to the ANSI format ???

You cannot export an OL2003 pst file for use by an earlier version of OL.
To get an OL2000-compatible PST you must create a new PST (File>New>Outlook
Data File>Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File) and then copy each folder
in your main PST to it. You can then close the new PST and open it (don't
import it) with OL2000.
