Export or backup Categories/Colors

Using Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2007.

Outlook has a feature that allows a user to export email "rules" as a backup.

Is there a similar feature or procedure somewhere that will allow you to
export categories and colors settings of the calendar?

My understanding is that this info (for 2007) is stored in hidden folders in
the ost file. True/False?

I would be a happy camper if we can access this data somehow to back it up
periodically.

Reason: We have several users that are big (very big) on color coding and
categorizing things on the calendar... but when we have issues with their
accounts and we have to either recreate their account on Exchange, or create
a new profile on the computer... they have to spend hours redoing the
categories and colors.

Thanks for any suggestions.

True, for OL07 the Master Category List is stored in a hidden message of the
default calendar.

With Category Manager you can backup the Master Category List. For details
see the link in my signature, please.

After I posted I saw one of your replies and links on another bulletin board.

I will probably download the demo and give that a try...

Thanks for filling a gaping hole in "features" of Outlook.
