Export option Missing from Menu

I'm a system builder/OEM and
Import and Export is Missing under the File/Import and Export
This is for a client; and I've seen the problem - Import and Export is gone,
not grayed out, not hiding ... gone. I've never seen this before and am at a
loss.
We've tried Detect and Repair and ... nothing still no Export and Import.
The client had been using this for some time now and according to them it
disappeared with the last MS update. I've yet to try seeing if an Office SBE
update/patch will take care of it, that's my next step. Short of a total
uninstall and install; does anyone have any other ideas?

Cyberchip,

Just a thought, can you check and make sure the user does not have a group
policy being pushed down that is eliminating the option?

An additional though - were the importers and exporters installed then
Office was installed?
