Hi,

is there any way to export or import outlook account information ?
I searched the News and found it is not possible, but can´t believe there´s
no way to achieve this.

Is there really no way?

Account information resides in the Registry in the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\{yourprofilename}. Conceivably you could
export this key and import it into another Registry, but you'll still have
to recreate the account passwords.

Worked fine, but another hint for others:

I had 2 mail accounts and imported all 4 (including the two existing)
accounts from another PC because account names in registry are cryptic like
"ft7erw84z79rt4zhgutioh8u92" hence I couldn´t identify the missing accounts.

After import mails from the default account were downloaded twice, but each
account showed up only once !!

My solution was to
- delete all mail accounts inside outlook which are on the "import list".
That´s no problem since creating the accounts is done quickly by registry
import.
(Default account could suffice possibly, but keep in mind that the new
default account could also be on the "import list").
- Close and open Outlook (don´t know if necessary)
- Import again. Ready.

Even passwords of the identical accounts seem to be saved, if saved before.
The send/receive group settings however have to be set again.

Forgot something

My solution to remove double entries was:
- Delete all mail accounts inside outlook which are on the "import list".
That´s no problem since creating the accounts is done quickly by registry
import.
(Default account could suffice possibly, but keep in mind that the new
default account could also be on the "import list").
=> - Close and open Outlook
=> - Delete the double entry which is now visible.
- Close and open Outlook (don´t know if necessary)
- Import Registry Key again. Ready.

Shorter for those without double importing resp. normal way:
- Delete mail accounts which would be double after import
- Close and open Outlook (don´t know if necessary)
- Import Registry Key

I believe those are in the {profilename}.srs file in
%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook
