export from outlook express to office 2003

I'm trying to export email from OE to import to Outlook
2003. When exporting from OE, I don't get a chance to
specify file name or path.
What is the file name and extension, and when importing
into outlook 2003 what type of file would it be?

Outlook Express exports messages directly into Outlook without creating an
intermediate file. No import required.
