I just had to do this type of thing ... take an RTF document which was in a
3-column tabular format and import it into an Access table. Not pretty.
Here's what worked for me:
1. In Word, Save the Document as Text. (This will destroy the nice
formatting, but it does appear to leave tabs in the document).
2. In Access use File|Import to import the material from the newly-saved
text file.
This may or may not work for you, depending on what is in the RTF document
that you start with.
