Export body of email to Excel

Jim

I've posted this to the vba group but so far with no response so I'm hoping
someone here is able to help and advise me how to export the body of an
email to Excel

The emails are system generated and therefore in a standard format.
Once in Excel I will be able to parse the text using vba without any
problems but I am stumped with vba in Outlook.

Regards and many thanks

Jim, I know this solution must be too simple, but can't youjust cut and
paste? I paste information from Outlook messages to Excel all the time and
then manipulate them any way I want.

Jayne ,
Yes that is indeed what I am doing at the present .. I was hoping just to
highlight the email header and then click a button to run the macro and have
the body copied line by line into an Excel workbook (Line 1 into cell A1;
Line 2 into cell A2 etc)
But it is probably too complicated for me to do
Thanks anyway
Jim
