Expore runs slow

About a couple weeks expore started running real slow.
Explore will open like normal but when I open a folder it
can take up to a minute to open and if I right click on a
file to do anything (rename, play, open) it will take
awhile until the menu choices appear.

Has anyone seen this before?

I've defraged, Norton Disk Doctor and Win Doctor, virus
scan, adware, and every scan I could think of found
nothing, also everything else runs like normal, just
expore seems to be effected

I've also installed the xp sp2 but the problem was present
before the install.
