Explorer will not open files to the screen but they open minimized

Explorer will not open files to the screen but they open minimized. I
would like them to open directly on the screen in excel instead of
being minimized down in taskbar.

Could it be they're opening Excel off-screen? If so, right-click the
taskbar in a blank area, click Cascade windows. Was the file moved
on-screen?
