Explorer Will Not Close Normally

I am having problems closing internet explorer. When I
press X or Alt File Close its just freezing up on me. To
close it I have to Ctrl Alt Del and force it to close. Is
there a fix known for this problem, this issue just came
up out of normal use. The computer is up to date in virus
definitions and I use a utility program to keep everything
clean otherwise.

This is probably being caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite)

If not caused by malware, consider disabling (for diagnostic purposes)
legitimate programs running in the background which might be interacting
with IE- security, antivirus, ad-blockers, toolbars & other add-ons, etc.
You may have to uninstall then reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.
