Explorer: Unable to expand My computer items

Hello all

I'm trying to expand some folder, control panel, C drive and so on just
clicking on expand triangle near the item. The cursor becomes wait cursor
after that and never becomes normal. The item however is not expanded in any
case, but I can open all of these items easily just clicking on a particular
item. But explorer tree-pane still has wait cursor and never switches it
back. The explorer window can be closed and opened again but the behaviour
is the same.

Did anyone have experienced the problems like aforementioned? How could I
fix that problem?
I'm running Vista Business Rus 32-bit, Build 6001, SP1
