I do not seem to be able to force Windows Explorer to reopen with the status
bar displayed. The other toolbars and views are maintained from one session
to another through the Tools>Folder Options settings, but the status bar
disappears again each time I close and reopen Explorer. Am I missing some
setting here?
Thanks for the help.

Open Windows Explorer/View/Status Bar. Then, click Tools/Folder Options/View/Apply to all folders.
