It seems that my Windows Explorer (6.0) is becoming increasingly corrupt (and dysfunctional). I am using XP Home, and usually after a few minutes on the internet, I need to exit and restart my ISP (Earthlink) to get back to the web page I was viewing. Now it seems to be happening more often, and I usually get the standard error message: "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem........

Does anyone have any advice on how to correct, or perhaps how to go about obtaining a clean copy of the latest revison of Internet Explorer 6 ? If so, please contact my direct e-mail. Thanks!

Rule out parasites.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

and:

SpyBot-S&D

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
