Explorer running 99 %

When I bring up win2000, and try to open most anything
explorer runs 9 - 99 % and want stop running. Any
sugguestion as to the ploblem?

Dennis, do you mean explorer takes over, and no other applications can
run? Or are you saying if you click on any application, explorer
shows up instead. Have you virus-checked your machine?
