I have seen Vista on a system, and I really like the fact that when you
click on a 'folder' name in explorer all the sub dirs don't automatically
expand on you, until you press the + in the box.

Is there a way to get XP to do this?

Auto expanding sub folders is one of the things I've always hated!

Yes..and it's been there.
In a windows explorer, click on Tools, folder Options, View, REMOVE the
check in the box for "Display Simple folder view..."
