Explorer Problem

When my Daughter tys to naccess or start up internet
explorer on her pc(compac p3 1ghz 512 ram XP Pro)it only
shows up on the task bar and cannot be expanded.This
occurs no matter from where IE is launched.She is at a
Wired dorm room,her roomates machine works fine as does
everyone else on the floor.Alo her AOL Instant messanger
works fine?
 
Right click on the Icon to display the drop-down menu... select Properties.
Make sure the Run setting is not set to "Minimized Window". Save changes and
exit and try again.
