Whenever I expand the view to show other folders the whole list keeps trying
to refresh itself continuously. There are no viruses (Norton AV csan with up
to date definitions) or spyware(AdAware latest version scan) on the maching.
Any suggestions on how to rectify this?

Single Security products aren't likely to give you 100% protection.
With Spyware, you need to use multiple products to get a higher level
of coverage. You should probably add Spybot (Search & Destroy)
and Microsoft Antispyware (Beta #1). You might also want to run
the on-line scans for Pests below:

As virus protection goes, NAV tends to miss certain types of threats.
I've personally seen this numerous times when migrating users to a
different AV product. In this regard, I suggest you try at least one or
two on-line virus scanners. I recommend Panda/Trend-Micro.

Thanks for the advice. I discovered some things missed by my main programs
but the problem still exists.
