When I open Windows Explorer and go to any folder, I get this error message:

Explorer.EXE-Application error

The instructions at "0x02993397" referenced memory at "0x00000000."
The memory could not be "written."

Click to terminate thr program
Click cancel to debug program

Does anyone have any idea what this is all about and how can I fix this?

Are you running SP2?

There was a hotfix for SP1 that addressed this problem, I believe it was
sorted in SP2.
just in case the hotfix is at
