1. Boot into Safe Mode Command Prompt Only
2. Insert your Windows 2000 CD.
3. Change to that drive by using the command line "<drive>:" without the
quotation marks where <drive> is the appropriate drive letter for your cdrom
drive.

NOTE: If you know of a copy of Explorer.exe on the computer, you can use the
COPY command to copy it into the c:\winnt folder or can continue with the
remaining steps.

4. Expand the Explorer.exe file from the original installation media into
the proper foldersusing the following command line
Expand explorer.ex_ c:\winnt\explorer.exe

5. Reinstall the service pack.

6. You will probably need to reinstall some security updates. Check from
Windows Update.
