Explorer.exe using 100% of my CPU

Hello there!

Does anyone know why explorer.exe once or twice (or maybe even more times) a
day starts eating up 100% (actually 95%) of my CPU and arround 400MB or my
Memory?
Usually it happens randomly when I am browsing the net or My Computer...
And when it happens the computer respondig times are really high so I need
to kill the process and when I run it (explorer.exe) again everything is
fine till the next time.

So what shuld I do?

Thanks and regards,

.
Check the file association. The problem may be when
explorer is trying to read a big file such as video clip
to display the properties.
Sometimes you cannot delete the file because it is still
in use by explorer during this check.
Open the Microsoft Technet for resolution.

Interesting. I've just posted a similar query. I've
just signed up to broadband and get similar problems.
I've got a laptop with 2 usb ports. To one usb is a
hub. Into the hub I've got a keyboard and mouse. THen I
connect a modem and printer into the remaining port on
the laptop and the remaining port on the modem. When I
launch explorer CPU hits 100%
