Explorer.exe Problems..Help

For the past 2 months at least once a day sometimes even more explore.exe will crash. I could be opening a folder, clicking on icon to load up a program, going through control panel and it would crash.

It's either "The shell stopped unexpectedly and Explorer.exe was restarted." Event 1002 or "Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2600.0, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.1.2600.114, fault address 0x00007e4f."

Could anyone please help on why this is happening?
