Explorer.exe problem (maybe)

Hi,
this is my problem.
My HD has three partitions, C,D and E. If I double-click the C icon,the
system dumps and I have to restart explorer.exe to be able to work.
This problem concerns only one of three partitions and only double
clicking the C icon. If I insert an address like "C:\Programs" it works
fine.

Any ideas?

Run chkdsk /f - there may be a faulty section on yr hdd

No faulty section found. I have to try other ways.

See if there is a file named autorun.inf in the C:\. If so, delete the file.

No autorun.inf, I see just the autoexec.bat and config.sys, beyond my
folders.

I've just deleted autoexec.bat and config.sys and now it works.

Strange! If this happens again, note down the error message shown in the
BSOD. That might help in troubleshooting.
