explorer.exe fatal error
Since yeterday I cannot open internet explorer 6.0; everytime I try a windows opens saying "IE has encountered problems and needs to close", and the error gets reported to MS. The systmems re-opens IE and I get back again to the error message in an endless loop. Sometimes with the error windows open I can browse 2-5 minutes. I cannot either open the Windows Explorer or My Documents, as exporer.exe reports a fatal error.

I am using Win 2000 with all latests Windows Security Updates & Norton Anivirus updated.

Please any idea on what could happen and what should I do to fix this?

IMPORTANT: (Do this as soon as you can).
Before trying to remove spyware, download a copy of LSPFIX from
the URL below - some malware may kill your internet connection when it is
removed, this program will enable you to regain your connection.

Internet Explorer Ver. 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
