explorer.exe error

I receive the error message "explorer.exe has generated
errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to
restart the program. An error log is being created."

I am runing W2K Professional.

I get the error whenever I try running Internet Explorer,
Windows Explorer, Cotrol Panel, My COmputer, Recycle Bin,
Printers.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!
