Hi all!
I'm having an explorer.exe problem, but it's not the general crash on bootup
problem, it seems very specific.

If I open Windows Explorer (right click start, start menu or Windows+E) it
pops up and crashes right away.
If I open My Computer and go to my C: drive, or open any window and enter
c:\ in the Address Bar everything seems fine.

It looks almost like there's some error with the 'Explorer Bar' (left pane
in explorer window) that when it's shown it crashes.

I've done a repair from the CD, installed latest patches, scanned for
viruses and spyware.. I saw some suggestions of looking for duplicate
explorer.exe files.. there are none.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what's going on and what I can possibly
do to resolve it I'd very much appreciate it!

Thanks all!

Ok.. it seems like it's something when 'My Computer' gets refreshed.

I connected to a network drive and when the windows came up I hit the
'Folders' button.. everything was fine until I expanded 'My Computer'. Once
I did, explorer immediately crashed..

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Ok.. figured it out.
WSFTPPro puts a link to a WSFTPPro Explorer program in the 'My Computer'
area of explorer.
Every time it hit this it crashed.. I just had to remove those links and
everything appears to be working fine now...

Very good. This is unfortuante about WSFTP. I stopped fighting with it years ago. The product is shoddy.
