Explorer error message

My explorer has been crashing almost everytime I use it lately with this
message:
AppName: iexplore.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180
ModName: Unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 02ae7ce1
I tried to download spyware, but explorer crashes and shuts itself down
before I can get to it. I ran security checks and they didn't come up with
any viruses. I've tried defragmenting and disk cleanup and nothing seems to
work. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Programs> Manage add-ons, disable
add-ons. One of them might be causing the problem.

If you startup in Safe Mode with networking, IE may work well enough to
download Ad-aware and Spybot, post a HijackThis log or download a backup
browser (mozilla.org)

Some malware must be removed manually. You may have to register and post a
HijackThis log to one of these forums for additional help. Look for the
proper forum and an "Important- Read This First" message so that you follow
proper procedure.
