Explorer: Date Picture Taken Column

Any option for keeping the original picture taken date after I modified a
photo file?
 
I guess it depends on what program you used to "modify" the photo. For
example Microsoft Office Picture Manager doesn't change the "date
picture taken" when you crop and save a picture, only the "Date
Modified" time stamp changes.
