Explorer CRASHing. Any ideas ?

Home Theatre Guy

It only crashes when i go to a certian directory on a certian drive.
Says it has a problem and crashes. Does it every single time ?


Any idea why ?
 
What does that directory contain?

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting
module mpeg2decfilter.ax, version 1.0.0.3, fault address 0x0002d88f.

I can't uninstall it as their is no uninstall ??

Codec!!

MMCompView v1.10 - View installed Codec and ActiveX filters and enable /
disable them:

Sorry no help, does not show up aas the error name. SO i hve noidea
what to disable :(

Any other ideas.
 
Is the name of the Codec listed, which has the file name mpeg2decfilter.ax ?

But i did look for the mpeg2decfilter.ax for the filename and i found
it.

DOH DOH DOH DOH DOH:)

It was caled MPV Decoder filter. It's disabled now and seems to be
fixed now no crashes.
