Explorer crashes while clicking files with right mouse button

Hello everyone,

I've got a big problem with my Windows XP (SP2, XP prof).

Everytime when I click on a file with the right mouse button or try to
get the same result with the windows application key on the keyboard,
the explorer crashes = hangs up. (e.g. opening the properties of a file
or zipping a file or multiple files).

Afterwards the folder where the file is in doesn't react anymore. The
mouse pointer changes into the sandglass while I move the mouse over
that folder. Furthermore, I have to open the task manager, kill and
restart explorer to continue working.

I've already tested my harddrive due to physical problems (broken or
missing sectors) but there were none.

Does anybody know a solution?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Alex

Right-click is slow or weird behavior caused by context menu handlers -
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

Right click causes an error and crashes Explorer.exe after installing
Windows XP SP2 - http://www.winxptutor.com/sp2/divxcrash.htm

Manage the context-menu entries for folders, drives and Namespace
objects - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm
