Explorer crash when viewing folder of images

In XP, Windows Explorer crashes when I view folders with
images in them. The associaiton for the images (gif adn
jpg) is Adobe Photoshop (my version is 7). Any ideas?

I would try uninstalling Photoshop by using its own
Uninstall option or from Add/Remove Programs and then shut
down, reboot, and reinstall it.

If that doesn't work, try downloading and using the
XNViewer picture viewer from http://www.xnview.com/

Thanks. The problem persists in XNView too (it crashes as
well when I view the folder) though obviously I still
have Photoshop installed at the mo.

When I look at the folder using my FTP program, it's
fine, no crashes. The Photoshop icon normally shown next
to the filanames in Explorer isn't used by the FTP
program interestingly, it uses a default icon of it's own.

I will try removing Photoshop.
