i have a problem where windows explorer columns don't stay

i mean, if i have it as name, type, size, date modified, attributes and then
tell it to apply to all folders, it doesn't do it.
it will keep it for that folder but switching to another folder adds tags,
ratings and other crap i don't want...worked fine in xp. i seem to vaguely
remember changing something in the registry underl HKCU\software....bags but
don't remember exactly what it was. i really don't think this should be
necessary to go to that distance; seeems broke to me

Choose Organize>Folder and Search Options >View. Click Apply to Folders

This should duplicate the column and attribute layout to all folders of the
same type of folder that you are laying out.

Example: Go to Pictures and layout folder then use Apply to Folders option.
All picture folders should have the same layout. But not other folders such
as Music or Word Doc folders.
