EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in VX2.DLL

I just started receivinf this message and most files on my
PC can not be opened...I must go through the "Search"
option. For example, I can not open "My Documents",
the "Recycle Bin", etc. I can also not launch IE - I keep
getting this error:

This program has performed an illegal operation adn will
be shut down" - When I press details it says
this: "EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module
VX2.DLL" - can anyone help me fix this?
